Michael Brooks started his market research career in London and worked with research agencies in Italy, Switzerland and UK before joining the airline industry. After almost 20 years in various senior management positions with British Airways and its predecessors, he set up Travel Trends International, which later became Travel Research Centre. Michael was responsible for the development of Business Travel Monitor for TRC, as well as Flight Performance Review and Travellers' Check.
During his time with BA, Michael was involved in research which led to the launch of Club World and later, ran BA's Executive Club (BA's frequent flyer program). When he left British Airways, Michael was Head of Business Services, responsible for business travel standards and business traveller clubs, conferences and conventions, and market research globally.
In addition to aviation projects for British Airways, Michael also worked with cruise lines, car rental companies, aircraft manufacturers, airports, rail companies, tourist organisations (government and local), hotel groups and resort developments.
He has spoken at many industry conferences and seminars, has written for specialist magazines and is a frequent broadcaster on aviation matters.
